Works on these Code alarm systems: AS9233ST, CA421, CA420A, CA420, and CA440TW. The remote includes batteries. The Code Alarm part number for this remote is CATX420. The FCC ID on the back of the remote is ELVATCC. You can easily program your system to accept new remotes. This remote works at 434MHz to send it's signals. It has a red LED light to confirm when the button is being pushed. The remote gets checked on a keyless entry signal tester before we ship to you. This is a Code alarm Type 7 transmitter. When this remote is unavailable you can use other Type 7 remotes as replacements.
Programming Instructions:
1. Turn ignition to ON.
2. Press the programming button (valet switch) 3 times.
3. Press the START button on the remote for 3 seconds. Parking lightls flash once to confirm.
4. Repeat step 3 for each remote you wish to work on vehicle (up to 4.)
5. Remove key from ignition.

The system accepts 4 remotes. When you program a 5th, the 1st is knocked out, and so on... If 15 seconds pass between steps then the programming mode is automatically terminated.
